Changes
I woke up, tightly wrapped in Sirius’s arms. It took me a second to remember everything from last night, but when I did, I smiled and looked at Sirius, who was snoring loudly. I smirked, and lightly kissed his cheek and swept hair from his face. I cuddled up next to him again, and peacefully fell asleep.
The next time I woke up, it was to something warm and soft running up and down my neck. I muttered something intelligent, like
“Ungah dojs.” And tried going too sleep. Then the warm and soft feeling started pecking my neck, leaving tingling sensations wherever it went. I smiled.
“Sirius, I’m trying to sleep.” I said.
“Sorry,” He said, his lips still on my neck. “I just couldn’t help myself.” I slowly opened my eyes and saw him smiling. He leaned in, but I put my hand over his mouth.
“You have puppy breath, and I have to go to my dorm.” I said. He sighed.
“Yeah, Okay.” He said, pouting. I rolled my eyes, and cupped his face in my hands. I kissed him on the forehead.
“Next time we kiss, it’ll be on the lips.” I said before jumping up. I got my robes from the chair, and exited the room. I quietly ran to the other staircase, and opened the door to my dorm. I closed it, and tip-toed to my bed.
“Where were you?” Lily asked, making me jump.
‘Damn it.’ I thought to myself. “At the other staircase.”
“Doing what?” I didn’t answer. “Did you apologize to Sirius?” I couldn’t help but smile.
“We apologized, alright.” I said, trying to hide my happiness. It didn’t work.
“Tell me everything.” She said excitedly. Usually, I would’ve easily lied, but I can’t lie to Lily. I just end up telling her the truth later on. I sighed and plopped on my bed, and started talking.
By the time I finished, Lily looked like she was going to faint.
“You and Sirius. You guys were always really close, but now…” She trailed off.
“I know. I had once thought about us being together, but laughed at the thought. But now, it’s real.” I said. We talked a little longer, then decided to get some more sleep, since we had school today.
It felt like I had only slept for two minutes before Erica woke me up. I groaned, and rolled out of bed, slamming my shoulder against the floor. I yelled out in pain.
“are you okay?” Lily asked.
“Yeah,” I said, rubbing my shoulder. “Just me doing stupid things without thinking again.” We all got dressed, and went downstairs, where Sirius greeted me with a big kiss.
“Aw! Look at the cute couple!” James said. I couldn’t help but grin as Sirius wrapped his arm around my waist. We went down to the Great Hall, talking. When we got to the entrance, I hesitated. Sirius un-wrapped his arm from my waist, and took my hand. I grinned and grasped his hand.
When we walked in, a bunch of kids turned and looked at us. Then, they whispered to their friends. Usually, I wouldn’t care if people talked about me. Heck, nobody did talk about me. But, I knew what they were saying. They say the same thing about every girl Sirius goes out with. Then, I panicked. What if I was just one of those girls to Sirius? What if he broke up with me? What would happen to our friendship?!
“Are you okay?” Sirius asked, looking worried. I calmed down and smiled.
“Yeah.” Sirius would never do that to me. Hopefully. We sat down and started eating.
The rest of the day went by quickly and almost regular. Except for when Sirius would kiss me, or when we were in a empty classroom once, we were snogging, everything was the way it usually is.
At the end of the day, while we were all sitting around, doing our homework, I couldn’t help but think
‘How in the world did I get the guy almost every girl in Hogwarts wants? And how, exactly, am I going to keep him from wondering?’
Later on that night, everyone left, leaving Sirius and I alone.
‘perfect!’ I thought to myself. I looked over at Sirius, who was trying to figure out five questions on his paper since he had a quiz the next day.
“You need some help?” I asked.
“Yes, please.” He said.
“How ‘bout I help you remember it?” I asked.
“How exactly are you going to do that?” He asked.
“Every time you remember something, I kiss you. If you don’t get it right, then we move on to the next question.” I said.
“I think that’s a good idea.” He said, with a evil grin on his face. I grinned. He was only going to get two out of five questions right, anyway. (note: I Am making up these things as I go along, so, don’t get angry if it’s not right.)
“First Question. What is the third ingredient to a shining potion?”
“Um… seven sunbeam plant petals.” He said. I looked at my notes, and looked up at him in surprise. I leaned in, and lightly pecked his lips.
“Question two. What is the plant that one would use for a long-lasting non-drowning potion?” This is the easiest question.
“Gillyweed.” He said. I leaned in and kissed him a little bit longer than before.
“Question three. What are the two main ingredients for a darkness potion?” I asked. He paused for a moment.
“Two devil snare vines and eight drops of venom from a Arabian Scorpion.” He said. I looked at him in surprise. I made a mental note that he remembers things when he wants to, but not when he has to. I kissed him again, a little more intense. He tried to kiss back, but I had already pulled apart.
“Question four. Which ingredient do you have to put in a living death potion? Gillyweed juice, or Gillyweed roots?”
“Neither.” He said. I leaned in again, but this time, he met me there. He kissed me hard, and I did the same. I almost forgot to pull away.
“Question five. (Make up your own question for this one, cause I’m being to lazy to think up another one.)?”
“(Answer.)” Sirius said. I looked at the notes and saw he got it right. But I kept looking down at the notes shock.
“Did I get it right?” Sirius asked, leaning in. I tackled him with a kiss, and he kissed me back. It’s times like these when that make me happy that we’re together.
Before I knew it, I was laying on the sofa, Sirius on top of me. He kissed me from my lips to my chin, then went down my neck. When he got to my collar bone, he kissed my sweet spot, and I let out a little moan. He continued kissing my sweet spot, then started going down. My eyes snapped open.
“Sirius, no.” I said sternly.
“Sorry,” He said, getting off of me, his cheeks as red as Arthur Weasley’s hair. We sat there in a awkward silence for a while.
“I think you’ll remember everything.” I finally said.
“Yeah, right.” He said.
“If you pass your test, we’ll continue having little sessions like this.” I said. Sirius grinned.
“I’m going to remember everything.” He said. I kissed him one last time, got my things, and went up to my dorm. I laid in bed, thinking about our little ‘study session’.
