I Hate Sleepovers
When the train stopped, we all got off. Since it was raining, I ran to a carriage. I opened the door and saw that Lily and some of my friends were sitting in there.
“Can I sit with you guys?” I asked.
“Sure!” They all said. I jumped in and sat next to Lily. We all started talking, when suddenly, I remembered the prank.
“Hey, you guys? I’m playing a prank on Sirius and James. And I just wanted to know if you guys would help play along.” I said.
“I don’t know.” said Emma, one of the girls that I usually share the dormitories with.
“Yeah,” Devaon, a 6th year girl said. “ That’s some pretty risky business, because you know that they go after anyone who plays a prank on them.”
“What exactly is the prank?” Lily asked. I explained it, and they all thought it over and agreed. By then, the carriage stopped. We all stepped out, and got splashed with water. We all started running towards the building. We all safely made it to the building, but when we walked in, we went slipping and sliding. I held on to the door handle, while others weren’t as lucky. I heard Peeves cackle.
“Not the best skaters, I see.” He said, zooming around the others.
“Shut up, Peeves!” I yelled, almost slipping myself.
“Need some help there, ditcher?” He asked, floating next to me. He had seen that sometimes ditched class or left after curfew. For Remus, of course. I snarled at him.
“Tsk, Tsk. Don’t get a bad temper, or else I’ll have to let you go skating also.” He said.
“You wouldn’t.” I said, tightening my grip.
“Oh, yes I would.” He said. To prove his point, he flew right through me. It felt like getting your insides drenched in cold water. I let go of the door handle in alarm, and would of fell, if Sirius hadn’t caught me.
“Thanks,” I muttered.
“You ditched us.” He said.
“No. I told you guys I wasn’t going to wait for you to pick a carriage because my hair would get nappy if it got really wet.” I said.
“Well, come on.” He said, pushing me along the floor.
“How are you able to walk?” I asked.
“My shoes must be different from yours.” He said.
“Oh.” I said.
After the dinner, we all went up to the dormitories, by the head boy and girl, Molly and Arthur. Since Remus was escorting the first years, I felt like there was no need to wait for them to get back, so I headed to the dormitories, only to find it blocked by Sirius and James.
“Move.” I said.
“Go get your pajamas and toothbrush, because your going to spend the night at our dormitories.” James said.
“What if I don’t want to?” I asked. Sirius put his foot on the girls’ staircase, which turned to a slide.
“Then you’ll never get up to your dorm.” He said. I rolled my eyes.
“Fine.” I growled.
“Oh, and don’t try to hide up there either, because I’m sure some of my admirer’s would drag you down.” He said.
“I wish one of those wanna be-the-next-to-get-banged-sluts would touch me.” I said. I stomped upstairs and got my messenger bag full of my things. I wrote a quick note to Lily, explaining everything, and slowly made my way downstairs.
“Took you long enough.” Sirius said.
“I wasn’t the one who said I had to come sleep over.” I said, irritated.
“Well, come on.” James said, wrapping a arm around my shoulder and leading me to their staircase. On the way there, some 7th year boy said, “Hey! If you need any help, we’ll be down here.” I shot them a look and opened my mouth to say something, but James stopped me and said, ignore them.
When we got to their, dorm, I dropped my bag on the ground and plopped on the bed Remus was sitting on. He looked up in surprise.
“I didn’t know you were staying here for the night.” He said.
“Neither did I.” I said. “Where’s your bathroom?”
“Over there.” Sirius said. I walked into the bathroom, locked it, then used a spell to super lock it. I changed into a big t-shirt, silky Minnie mouse pants, and some fuzzy socks. I was about to open the door, when I remembered who was out there.
“Are you guys descent?” I asked.
“Umm….. Define descent.” Sirius said. I thought about it for a second.
“Are you wearing pants?” I asked.
“Then yes, we’re descent.” Sirius said. I un locked the door and stepped out. Sirius was only in boxers, James was wearing a gray t-shirt and boxers, Remus was wearing a shirt and some regular pajama pants, and Peter was wearing almost the same as Remus. I flopped on Remus’s bed.
“Now what?” I asked.
“I don’t know. You’re the girl. Don’t you go to sleepovers?” James asked.
“Yeah, Jess. Don’t girls have pillow fights and dance and talk about boys and their feelings and play truth or dare and sneak boys over?” Sirius asked.
“Oh my god, you guys! Could you be anymore sexists?” I asked. “First of all, everything you just said is only in movies. Second, all the sleepovers I’ve been to were ones where we played video games and pigged out. Oh, and prank call people.”
“What’s prank call mean?” James asked.
“You don’t need to know.” I said.
“Well. Let’s have some fun.” Sirius said. I narrowed my eyes.
“What do you mean, exactly?” I asked. You always have to find out exactly what Sirius means.
“I mean, lets do so something, cause I’m already bored. How about truth or dare?” He said.
“Yeah, I guess we could play.” I said.
“Okay. Truth or dare?” Sirius asked.
“Uh…. Truth.” I said.
“Fine. Is it true that you wear contacts?” Sirius asked.
“Yes, it’s true. But not colored ones.” I said. “Okay. Remus, truth or dare?”
“Truth.” He said.
“Is it true that you like Emma?” I asked. He immediately turned red.
“Well. Maybe a little bit” He said. We all laughed.
“Okay, then. James, truth or dare?” Remus asked James.
“Dare, of course.” He said. Remus sat in silence for a second, then a evil grin came across his face.
“I dare you to scream out of a open window, “I, James Potter thinks Severus Snape is the sexiiest man on Earth.”.” Remus said. James paled. He slowly walked to a window, opened it, stuck his head out the window, and screamed everything he was supposed to say. We all fell out in laughter. James stuck his head back inside, and slammed the window shut.
“Okay. Jess. Truth or dare?” He said.
“Dare.” I said.
“I dare you to kiss Remus.” I immediately stopped smiling.
“Can I sit with you guys?” I asked.
“Sure!” They all said. I jumped in and sat next to Lily. We all started talking, when suddenly, I remembered the prank.
