By the time I had gotten on the train back to Hogwarts, I was ready to get away. To much family and drinking and eating, I guess. It might have been that, or my longing to see Sirius.
While on the train, I sat with Lily and some other girls, and we all started up a conversation about our holidays. Lily told us about how her family was still in shock, and how horrible her sister was being to her. Another girl told about how here family had gone to Italy, while another talked about China. But, for some reason, they found my family in Queens the most exciting and interesting.
When we got off the train, we all walked to a carriage and climbed on board. 15 minutes later, we were at Hogwarts. I got out, said see ya' to the others, and went looking for Sirius.
After searching for almost an hour, I found him in the middle of arguing with Regulus. They hadn't seen me yet, so I stood, with my back against the wall, listening. ADHD, remember?
"But mum said--" Regulus began, in a frustrated, almost pleading way.
"I don't give a damn what mum says! She can't make me do anything, and if you excuse me, I have to go see my girlfriend, something you'll never have." Sirius said. Regulus whipped out his wand, and pointed it at Sirius's chest.
"You think that since you're my brother that I won't curse you? You're already a disgrace to the family, and I'm sure I'll be doing others favors by putting you in the hospital for a couple of months." Regulus hissed. At this, I quickly made the decision that it was time to stop this.
"Only if you have the--" Sirius started before I stepped out and said,
"Hey Sirius!" Then I made a confused face. "Wait, did I just walk in on something, cause I can leave." I said.
"No," Sirius said, shooting a look at Regulus before walking towards me. "I was just about to come looking for you." I grinned.
"Hello, Regulus." I said, expecting him to just walk away again.
"Hey, Jessica." He said, surprising and startling me. I looked over at him, but he had already turned and left. I looked at, who was glaring at Regulus.
"That was… unexpected." I said.
"Yeah, well, just stay away from him." He said.
"Okay." I said, even more curious. He grinned at me, then walked over and gave me a kiss.
"Come on," He said, wrapping his arm around my waist. "You have to tell me what you did and more about New York." I grin, though I immediately know he's hiding something, and I intend on finding out what it is.
