Just a bunch of awesome hoopla
The next day, I avoided Remus. Every time he tried to walk over to me, I'd either stand really close to Sirius, or quickly walk the other way. For the last class we had, which was History, Remus was in that class. At the end, I spilled my ink everywhere, and started cleaning up.
"Let me help you." Remus said, pulling out his wand.
"I got it." I said, also starting to pull out my wand.
Scourgify! He said, and all the ink vanished.
"Thanks, Remus." I quickly said, picking up my notes and quills. Remus tried helping.
"What is it, Remus?" I finally asked, not able to take it anymore.
"I wanted to explain for yesterday." He said.
"There's nothing to explain. You went mental for a moment, then came back to your senses to late." I said. He grinned a little.
"Yes, and no. It was because of my werewolf hormones. I guess it would be mating season for werewolves." He said apologetic. I tried looking at it from the way he said it, but all that came to mind was,
Now he gets hornii around girls? But, I nodded like I understood anyway.
"Okay, well why didn't you say that before?" I said, even though I already knew the answer.
"You ran away from me, and then avoided me almost all day." He said. We exited the classroom, talking as if nothing had happened.
When we got outside, we saw James and Sirius spinning Severus in the air. I stormed over to them.
"Will you guys just leave him alone! He hasn't done a single thing to you guys!" I said.
"Yes he did," James said. "He was born." I glared at him.
"How would you guys like it if someone hovered you in the air, or shot jinx at you! He doesn't even talk to you guys, so why do you guys mess with him!?" I yelled, starting to get more defensive of Severus. Just then, Lily stormed out.
"JAMES POTTER AND SIRIUS BLACK!!!! LEAVE HIM ALONE, NOW!!!!" She yelled.
"For you love, anything." James said, lowering his wand, slowing Severus's spinning a little.
"I don't like you like that, Lily, so I don't have to." Sirius said. I walked over to him.
"I'll cancel our little sessions." I whispered in his ear. He glanced at me, bit his bottom lip, and lowered his wand. Severus fell to the ground. Lily ran over to him.
"Go." I said. They gave Severus one more look of hatred, than left. I ran over to Lily and Severus, who was green. We weren't the number one people on each other's friend list, but still..
"Are you okay?" I asked. He nodded, then held his head.
"We have to take you to the hospital wing." Lily said. We helped him up, and with one arm around both of our shoulders, we walked him to the Hospital, where the nurse, Madame Pomfrey gave him some weird potion thing. Within seconds, he was back to normal. We said good bye to him, and Lily and I headed back to the common room. When we got there, we walked up to our dorm, so that Lily could let out her anger.
"Why are they so horrible!" She yelled. "I know Sirius is your boyfriend and everything, but him and James are so… so…"
"Infuriating? Cruel? Mean? Annoying?" I suggested.
"Yes! All of the above! Why are they so cruel to Severus!? They don't act like that to any other Slytherin except him."
"Well, you know James likes you. A lot. It probably annoys him that you and Severus are so close, and you despise James."
"Yes, but that still gives him no reason to do that to poor Severus! If they actually new what he's gone through…" She trailed off, lost in thoughts. I sat there as quietly as I could till I couldn't take the silence anymore.
"I'm hungry." I said.
"I think dinner is in 30 more minutes." Lily said. I groaned.
"No body should wait that long to eat!" I complained.
"Then you shouldn't of eaten all you sweets."
"Actually, I didn't eat it all. I have eaten half of the sweets, all my moonpies(my favorite snack-food next to blueberries), and we both eat those gooey brownies my mom made. (I like chocolate things almost as much as fruity things)." I said. She gave me a look. I grinned a little.
Thirty agonizing minutes later
I made it down the stairs in record time, and was the second one in. I sat down, and grinned around the empty table like the weird person I am before others came in. Lily sat next to me, only to move as the marauders sat down around me. I tried getting up, but Sirius pulled me back down.
"Question," He asked me. "Why do you care about Snivellus so much?" I glared at him.
"Because he's been through so much. More than you guys will ever know." I said. I knew only a little bit about his background, but enough to know what it must be like. Just then, Sirius's brother, Regulus walked over.
"Hey Regulus." I said, trying to be nice. He acted as if he hadn't heard anything.
"Dad sent you a letter." He said, shoving the letter in Sirius's face.
"What is it?" Sirius asked, clearly annoyed.
"If you read it, you'll find out." Regulus said before walking away. Sirius said some words I would never like to repeat, then opened the letter. His eyes skimmed over the letter, then he shoved it in his pocket. We didn't ask any questions, because usually Sirius reads all his letters out loud, or lets us see it, so this must have been important or really personal.
When dinner was over, we all went to our dorm. I sat with Sirius, just talking about whatever. When the last person went up to their dorm, I took a deep breath.
"What was that letter about?" I asked.
"Family rubbish." Was all he said. I didn't want to push it, cause Sirius isn't one to open up.
"Oh." Is all I said. We talked a little longer, but something seemed to be bothering Sirius.
"Maybe you should go up to your dorm and get some rest." Sirius said suddenly. This caught me by surprise. Usually, he was always trying to get me to stay down here longer.
"Okay," I said, a little unsure. We kissed each other god night, but Sirius wasn't in it. I went upstairs, more worried about Sirius than before.
"Let me help you." Remus said, pulling out his wand.
