(AN: Sorry that the last couple chapters have been really crappy. I've been working on other stories, you know? But I'm going to try and make all my chapters for all my stories awesome for now on. (even though I write them and 12:03 in the morning:)
After the doors, I watched the twins and Lee closely, trying to figure out how they did it. They noticed, and were always whispering when I was near them. Finally, I gave up, and did what any 11 year old would do; pouting!
I was in a messed up mood for most of the day, getting in more trouble then usual. I was so busy thinking about how the twins did it, I barely noticed when BFF, Lexy Lupin was talking.
"Brittany!" She yelled.
"Huh?" I said, shaking my head a little.
"What did you write down for your potion notes, cause I didn't write it all down." Lexy asked.
"Oh, uh…" I pulled out my notes, and looked at my parchment, and saw that I had written down about five inches, then the rest was pictures of doors and question marks and random thoughts that had been in my mind at the time. "I didn't finish them either." I said, slipping my notes back in my bag.
"What's wrong with you today? Usually, you have everything written down and the answers already memorized in your head." She said.
"It's just, I keep on wondering how the twins made all those doors appear. I mean, boys aren't allowed on the girl staircase, but they had to…" I trailed off, lost in thoughts.
"Well, they are practically professional pranksters." Lexy said. I nodded, then a thought suddenly blew up in my head.
"Hey! They had promised not to prank me! They can't break a promise they make with me! That's… that's…" Just then, the twins and Lee walked in the common room. I jumped up, Lexy following me.
"You guys broke a promise." I said. They looked at me, confused.
"What promise?" Fred asked. I cleared my voice, and said in the best George voice I could,
"Fine! We won't prank you, Brittany." Fred and Lee gave George a look.
"What do you want?" Lee asked. I grinned.
"As Lexy as my witness, you guys have to do or answer the one thing I want." I said. They nodded glumly, and I only thought for, like five seconds before asking my question.
"How did you guys jinx the doors?" I asked. They shifted their feet.
"We'll tell you, but Lexy can't hear." Fred said.
"And," George added. "You can't repeat it to her, or anyone else. Promise?"
"Promise." I said. They relaxed a little, knowing I never broke a promise, and walked over to the beginning of the girls' dormitory.
"So," Fred said. "You know that how when the boys step on the stairs, it turns into a slide?"
"Yeah." I said.
"Well, we simply stepped on the stairs, which turned into a slick, glossy, reflected slide. We could see your dormitory door reflecting, so we simply made lots of guess and checks, till we finally hit your door." George said.
"We did have some bounce off the walls, or disappear, but it was worth it." Lee said. I looked at them all in amazement. How could three 11 year olds possibly figure this out? Then again, this was the Weasley twins and my bro I was talking about.
"That was so smart." I said. They grinned.
"Yeah, well, we're really smart people." Fred said. "By the way, do you have the notes from Potions?" I smirked.
"You don't want them." I said. And that's pretty much how we made up. Hey, we're 11. What did you expect? Charlie and I also apologized, and for the next weeks went by quickly.
