"Brittany.Brittany!" I heard Lee say.
"What?" I asked, my eyes still closed.
"You have to change into your robes." I hear Fred say.
I started gropping at the bag rack, my eyes still closed.
"Is this my bag?" I ask.
"Open your eyes and look." Lee said.
"Just tell me." I say.
"Then no." he says.
"I don't belive you." I say.
"It's not your bag." Fred says.
I open my eyes and look at the bag. It was in fact my messenger bag. I get up and leave the compartment, without saying a thing to them. When I got back, the boys were talking about their pranks, robes on. I sat next to George and went through my playlist till it was time to leave.
After the boat ride to Hogwarts, we followed a strict looking woman into the castle. She led us to two big doors and turned to us.
"When we enter the great hall, you will be sorted into one of the four houses. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin. After you have been so-" She stopped short and looked at Fred and Lee, who were whispering.
"Shh!" I said.
"What? Oh." Lee said, looking down at his feet.
"Sorry professor." Fred mummbled, also looking down at his feet.
"As I was saying," the woman said." After you are sorted, you will go to your table." And with that, she opened the doors and we all followed behind her.
When we got into the hall, I saw four huge tables with lots of people sitting at them. I saw Charlie and Percy easily with their red hair so i knew that they were at Gryffindor table.
When we got to the front, the woman who had walked us in walked to the front of us with a stoll with a old hat on it. She set it down and suddenly, the hat started singing! I didn't really understand the song. Something about the creators of Hogwarts and new trouble makers.
At the end of the song, we all appluaded and the women pulled out a scroll of parchment and started saying names.
"Johnson, Angelina." was the first name she called. A african american girl walked up to the stoll and sat down. After a moment, the hat bellowed "Gryffindor!" the girl got up and ran over to the cheering table.
The rest of the sorting went on fast. When they called Fred and George, they both dramaticly made there way up to the stoll, stopping to wipe away fake sweat. They both got into Gryffindor.
Then, they called Lee. He practically strutted up to the stoll, sat down, and like thiry seconds later, the hat yelled "Gryffindor!" Looking relived, Lee made his way to the table.
"Jordan, Brittany." Wanting to pull it off like Lee, I tried strutting up to the stoll. To bad I tripped over my own feet and robes. The whole hall burst into laughs. I couldn't help but laugh as I got up. I turned and gave everyone a thumbs up, and continued walking.
When I got to the stool, I sat down and the woman put the hat on my head.
"Very intresting one, you are." the hat said.
"Sly like Slytherin, but loyal like Gryffindor. Smart like Ravenclaw, friendly like Hufflepuff. Your going to be very hard to sort out." the hat said. It was silent for a moment, then cleared it's throut and bellowed, "Gryffindor!"
I got up, and practically ran to the cheering table. I sat next to Lee and Fred.
"What took so long?" Lee said, giving me a one-arm hug. "I thought for a minute that you were going to be in Ravenclaw."
"Please. The hat said that you were close to becoming a Ravenclaw." I say.
"Nice entry, though" Fred said.
"Yeah," George said. "I would of thought you did that on accident."
"Yeah." I say. "I did that on purpose."
Later that night, we all went to the common room. I said good night to everyone and went up to the girls dormotries. When I opened the door, I saw three other girls. One, I recognized as Angelina. The other two said that there names were Rebecca Drats and Susy Ronalds. I changed into my pjs and got into bed. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
