“I’m not going to kiss Remus.” I said.
“You have to. It’s the number one rule of ‘Truth or Dare’ .” James said.
“Since when do you follow rules?” I asked.
“I’m not the one kissing. You are, and you mostly follow rules.” He answered.
“Sirius. Back me up.” I said. He looked uncomfortable.
“Well. Those are the rules.” He finally said. I bit my bottom lip.
“Fine.” I finally said. I crawled over to Remus, who was blushing furiously.
“For thirty seconds.” James added. I opened my mouth to disagree. “Rules.” I gave him a death glare, then leaned over to Remus. I hesitated a moment, then gently pressed my lips to his. Our eyes were open the whole time. Mine were staring at his nose, while he was just staring, wide-eyed and shocked.
After thirty seconds, I quickly pulled away, as red as Arthur Weasley’s hair.
“I don’t like ‘Truth or Dare’ any more.” I said after a long awkward silence.
“Me neither.” Remus said, still flustered.
“Yeah.” James said.
“I’m going to go to bed before you guys make me do anymore stupid things.” I said.
“Where are you going t--” Sirius started, but I flopped, face down on Remus’s bed and pulled the curtains.
Sirius’s POV
“I dare you to kiss Remus.” James said. At that, I wanted to scream Like hell she will! But of course, all I could do was watch and listen.
“Sirius. Back me up.” She said desperately. I couldn’t even look at her. I wanted to tell James she doesn’t have to do that, but then she would probably be suspicious.
“Well, those are the rules.” I said. She looked angry.
“Fine.” She said.
“For thirty seconds.” James added.
Your really pushing it, James! I thought in my head. She opened her mouth, but James said “Rules.” She glared at him, then leaned in to Remus and kissed him. How I wish I was him. It seemed like an hour, but they finally pulled apart, and we all sat in a awkward silence.
“I don’t like ’Truth or Dare’ anymore.” She said. James and Remus agreed, and she laid down in Remus’s bed, which really made me even more pissed off then before. Peter said he was going to go to sleep also, and within minutes, he was lightly snoring. James turned to Remus.
“How was it?” James asked.
“How was what?” Remus asked. James paused for a minute, and I could tell he was listening for Jess’s breathing, which was even and quiet.
“How was the kiss? Was she a good kisser?” He asked. At that, I moved closer to them to hear Remus.
“Well, I don’t exactly know. Our lips just barely met, but they were soft, and she smelled like honey up close.” He said.
“Nice.” I said.
“Yeah, but I don’t really want to do it again. I mean, she’s like my sister. Nothing more then that.” He said. Relief washed over me. “James, if you really wanted to embarrass her, you should of made her kiss Sirius.” He added.
“Yeah, mate. Remus is on the right page. Where were you?” I asked. James shrugged.
“If we ever play again, I’ll remember that.” He said. Remus yawned. And eyed his bed.
“I’m tired, but don’t know if I should sleep in there since she’s there.” He said.
“It’s your bed, mate. It’s not like you guys will do anything anyway.” I said.
“Okay.” He said. He hesitantly got up, and walked to his bed. He pulled the covers, and we saw Jess sleeping on one side of the bed, her hair flying everywhere. She actually looked kind of cute that way. Remus looked at us, and we ushered him to get in the bed. He slowly did and got comfortable, as far away from Jess as possible. He pulled the curtains, and we got in our beds. Within five minutes, I was knocked out.
Normal POV
I woke up, cuddled up to Remus. I don’t know how, seeing as how I fell asleep as far away from his side of the bed as possible. I would of gotten up, but his arms were wrapped around my waist. I looked out the window from the little crack in the curtains and saw the sun was just rising. I tried going to sleep, but once I’m up, I don’t go back down till night time, so I gently woke up.
Remus slowly opened his eyes, then they widened in surprise.
“I’m sorry,” He whispered.
“It’s okay.” I said. “You weren’t the reason I woke up, anyway.”
“Then why--”
“I wanted to leave before the others woke up.” I said. He unwrapped his arms from my waist. “Just say you were sleeping when I escaped.” He yawned.
“Can do.” I got my bag, which was already packed, and quietly slipped out. I stealthily made my way downstairs, and back to the girls dormitories. I plopped my bag by my bed and fell on my bed. Strangely, it felt more comfortable then Remus’s bed. I closed my eye’s and before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
